Mayovets Ye. Agrarian Enterprise in the transformation Economy of Ukraine. – Manuscript.

The thesis is devoted to the research of theoretical and methodological issues of the formation of highly effective agricultural enterprise in Ukraine in the stage of transition to the market economy. It develops the conceptual and categorical apparatus of researching agricultural enterprise and reveals the mechanism of its development. It substantiates the conclusion that the contemporary paradigm of the development of agricultural economy has to be based upon complex measures for stimulating enterprise, innovative creative motivation, market mechanisms of distribution, and adequate labour relationships. It investigates the role of agricultural enterprise in supporting the food safety of the country. It analyses the structure of the modern agricultural enterprise and reveals the most effective organisational production forms. It offers the author’s concept of the strategy of consolidating the innovative model of the development of agricultural enterprise.

The work shows the changes in forming agricultural resource potential in the stage of transformation period and analyses its quantitative and qualitative indicators, and the mechanism of the optimal utilisation. It researches social aspects of the development of agricultural enterprise and determines its influence on the rural community. It substantiates the ways of transition to ecologically balanced agricultural enterprise. It reveals the reasons behind the shadow agricultural economy and its contemporary forms. It develops the measures for influencing shadow processes.

The work investigates the state regulation process and offers a new mechanism of macroeconomic coordination of agricultural enterprise under the conditions of instability of a transition period.
